Idiom for Today
Spring Cleaning
This just means a very thorough cleaning, often (but not necessarily) done in the spring, and including big jobs such as clearing out closets, washing windows, and so on. Spring cleaning can often take many days.
This idiom is also used with a verb to do.
Example "I'm exhausted from all the spring cleaning we had to do lately." After staying in the house all winter, it's time to do some spring cleaning."
